Kentucky Chocolate Bourbon Balls

Festive cookie creating doesn't have to be difficult to be delicious. These easy to make cookies have a lovely, chewy consistency with a bourbon and vanilla flavor.
Ingredients0 0 Ingredients for Bourbon Balls1 cup vanilla wafers1 cup chopped pecans1 cup powdered sugar2 tablespoons cocoa powder1½ tablespoons corn syrup0 0 Ingredients for Coating Choices½ cup coconut flakes (for coconut coating)½ cup powdered sugar (for sugar coating)½ cup cocoa powder and ½ cup powdered sugar (for cocoa coating)
- Mix the coating(s) of your choice per ingredients listed above and set aside.
- Crush the vanilla wafers in a large bowl. Add the pecan nuts, powdered sugar and cocoa powder and mix together.
- Add in the corn syrup and stir. Add bourbon and stir. (If substance is too sticky, add more vanilla wafers. If too dry, add more corn syrup and bourbon.)
- Roll into balls just smaller than a golf ball. Don’t worry about them not being perfect. Coat with the prepared coating of your choice. Enjoy immediately or once they are dry and non-sticky, about 20 minutes.
