Encourage your child to try new ingredients and instill pride in a job well done by having them help you make this recipe for Spinach Grilled Cheese Sandwiches.
4 slices wheat bread
4 teaspoons butter
4 slices cheese
½ cup baby spinach
4 slices deli meat, optional
1. Butter on side of each slice of bread.
2. Heat a skillet over medium- low heat. Place one slice of bread, butter side down, in the skillet. Top with a slice of cheese, thin layer of spinach, the second slice of cheese and another slice of bread, butter side up. For a more robust sandwich add slices of deli meat.
3. Toast in the skillet until golden brown, flip and toast the other side. Cut into triangles and serve.
